So.. I believe I should explain my project a little more. It's late, but I need to do this now or I'll keep thinking about this all night. In any case, I'll look at this entry tomorrow and edit it.
My grandfather wrote a book- more like a collection of short stories- few years back. It's about his experiences in the Peruvian rainforest when he was young and in the army. It might not sound particularly interesting, but it's actually really.. cool... And it's worth noting that it's written in Spanish.
Over the summer, I visited my grandparents in Peru for three weeks, and when I returned, I began to read his book. I finished it about a month ago, but I didn't consider it as a personal project until recently.
Now, this book is still needing many improvements, such as the formatting, and the flow of the stories. They follow a loose timeline, and a general plot, but there isn't much of a sense of continuity. So, I have made it my personal project to translate his stories into English, and put them together to become a whole, flowing book. It's a daunting task, and I'm not sure where to start. I guess I will mark up the sections and such, with multicolored post-it flags. I'm always looking for an excuse to use those... Anyway, I'll mark those sectiosn which are mostly description, those that are quite short, those that are significant plot points, and anything else that needs to be looked at.
So. I guess that's the next step. At some point, I guess I'll try to explain more what his book is about, but for now, I'm a little tired and I really just wanted to have more than just a test post to my process journal.. blog..
